Product Description
A U bolt is also called a U bolt clamp or U clamp, it is a threaded u shaped fastener that can hold electrical poles or other structures on the electric power line, pole line, and concrete line. Square U Bolts are designed to fix an item to a box section structure or trunking, or used for clamping square or rectangular items. Typically, they find themselves in use within the suspension of metal channels and duct work–but can also be embedded in concrete as anchor bolts or used to secure heavy equipment.
These are essentially a single piece of Mild or Stainless Steel bar that is threaded at the end of either side and then shaped as the letter U. Standard U Bolts are available from Fastenright in Mild Steel Zinc Plate and Stainless Steel. U Bolt Dimensions range from M6 to M20 in terms of thread diameter.
U-bolts are a vital part of your suspension system and should never be reused. Failure to replace or properly fit your U-bolts when maintaining or servicing your suspension could cause premature failure of your leaf springs or other components with catastrophic results.
